Alex's Kake

Happy Birthday Alex!
This started as a lonely little 5 inch cake that needed someone to love it. Then Alex had a birthday. It dressed all snazzy in pinstripes and was the life of the party. Good job, little cake. You were yummy.

Grateful Bear Baby Kake

I made this cake for my friend's baby shower. The bears looked great face on, with details like hair on his elbows and, legs and ears. On the side this photo makes them look like gorillas. Ha!
Purple, yellow, green, blue and pink bears sit on top of a two layer cake 10 inch cake with rainbow chip frosting. I love that stuff, even if it is store bought! It's what Heather requested and I can't disappoint a client.

Kake Truffles

Cake truffles are made from cake scraps and mixed with icing, then dipped in chocolate. Very tasty and quite addictive!

Australia Kake

This cake was carved into the shape of Australia with the nation's flag and two funny koala bears on top. I'm excited to say the fondant was homemade and tasted great! The cake is chocolate with almond-vanilla icing; it reminded me of a big Oreo cookie inside.
Happy 90th Birthday, Mutti! Mutti's family is originally from Tasmania, so it was important that I include the southeast island. All of her grandchildren got together for an Australian themed birthday party complete with music and dancing. I felt honored to be a part of this special day.

Kimmie's Gingerbread Kookies

I made a lot of kookies this winter - these were my favorite.

Wizard of Oz Kake

What a fun kake to make! The icing is buttercream, the decorations are made of fondant.

Kooky Kupcakes

Fun purple and green chocolate kupkakes that I made with leftover icing.

Pumpkin Kupkakes

These were made in October. I love marshmellow pumpkins and needed a reason to buy a bag.

Nadia's Kake

This is a fun, pretty cake I got to make for a 9 year old birthday girl. Yes - it's chocolate.

Becky's Cream Cheese and Devil's Food Kake

Becky left work, and I just had to make her a cake. I asked her what she wanted and she said devil's food cake with cream cheese icing. Good pick. It was delish. The sides are covered with mini chocolate chips.

Dad's 60th Birthday Kake

Presenting Dad's 60th birthday cake! I had a lot of fun making the horn. Happy Birthday, Dad!

Frog Eye Kupkakes

These frog eye cupcakes were for the kids at VBS 2009 at Seacoast this summer.

Thank You Picnic Basket Kake

My camera is in the shop -- these are the best photos I can get of my latest cakes. Sigh. Too bad, because this cake had red and cream colored basket weave. I loved the color and the texture.
This is for the Hospice Taste of the Town stearing committee. www.hospicetaste.com We ate it at the wrap-up meeting. Thank you all for a job well done! I love it when we reach our goal.
Strawberry cake inside (I know - I've been on a strawberry binge lately).

Tiemann's Tenth Anniversary Kake

This strawberry cake was dense and sweat. The icing has strawberry flavor in it, also. It is for my friends Melanie and William Tiemann who celebrated their 10th Anniversary recently. The lace was a bit more difficult than I imagined (my wrists turned red) so I started a flower pattern. I think it came out nice. It smelled sooo good, and since Mel and Bill are super-duper friends...I ate a piece before I gave it to them. Isn't that terrible?

Strawberries & Kream Kake

A pretty strawberries and cream kake. This one has a light, fluffy icing and a creamy filling with chopped strawberries.

Don't You Just LOVE Chocolate?

I like the tall layers of this little 6x5 cake. All chocolate, of course. The curls are gum paste.

Tinker Bell Kake

It's Haley's 3rd birthday! I had the honor to bake her cake. The party theme was Tinker Bell, so I really had fun decorating it. One butter cake and one chocolate cake are layered on the inside. The rocks and flowers are made of fondant. The water is made with a sparkly blue gel. I hope she loved it. :)

Zebra Kake

This was going to be sliced up and sold at a church yard sale/bake sale, but unfortunately we had to back out at the last minute.
The lucky folks that work got a wild treat in the morning.

Famous Circuit City Kake

I made this quickie cake last minute for Verizon Wireless/Circuit City goodbye party. I made icing, but then ran out and had to use store bought for the actual design. Still tasted really good...and made it onto the 10 o'clock news!

Mini Chocolate Tower Kake

Oooh la la! Again - all chocolate kake with sinful looking dark chocolate roses. This isn't a full sized 3 layer kake; just a little one for a small party.

Good 'ol Fashioned Bundt Kake

Orange pecan praline kake. Veeeery moist; like honey. :-P I made two of them.

Everything-Chocolate Fall Kake

What this kake may lack in detail is totally made up for on the inside - under the chocolate fondant is a creamy chocolate icing and the most perfect chocolate kake. I am mourning the fact that I will not get to eat it.

Landscaped Kake

OK, I have to explain this one. This is a retirement cake for our maintenance guy.

We're looking at the campus buildings where I work. There's a white building and a t shaped building (three dimensional). And that gray part is the parking lot. The rest of it is a pond with waterfall, a canopy, and the rest of the gardens. The black dots are foot prints.

The people at work got it, our retiree was impressed, and it tasted yummy so my job here is done. :-D

Boss's Day Kake

I'm glad everyone at work enjoyed this fun fall kake.
